Cadastral maps are used for displaying
spatial or geometric boundaries of land parcels defining
the location, shape and size of a parcel within the
context of a regional or national geodetic reference
system. So it becomes imperative that Cadastral
Landbase Map be accurately maintained and
referenced to the real world if it is to provide credibility
and longevity. Space age technology has now evolved
to the point where it is economically feasible to
position parcels and geographic features to centimeter
accuracy. It is also important to identify the various
facets that go into the mapping of Cadastral Parcel
Maps, apart from recognizing its potential uses and
end users.
RAMTeCH’s Cadastral Mapping Section is familiar
with all forms of property records and survey systems
and techniques. Not only are they experienced with
a strong background in digital mapping and understanding
of land record data structures, they also have experience
with leading hardware and software platforms. It uniquely
qualifies RAMTeCH as a recognized provider of parcel
map and GIS implementation. RAMTeCH provides services
in the creation of geo-referenced digital parcel tax
maps from existing paper documents or through coordinate
input using high accuracy digital base maps or digital
ortho photos. Various data tables can provide additional
attributes that can be associated with spatial elements
that can be easily linked using primary relationship
keys. Our methodology is geared toward expandable
solutions enabling the client to implement the needs
of today without limiting the options for tomorrow.
Some Projects undertaken by RAMTeCH have been:
| Ø |
Land Records Maintenance
for the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh where
the project involved the digitization of parcel
maps addition of attributes to the landbase maps
and the development of a GUI-based interface with
an Indian language so that it would be easy for
the end users to operate. |
| Ø |
Data Translation of Landbase Across
Multiple Platforms where the main emphasis
was towards the translation of data sources from
MicroStation DGN files to Arc/info. This involved
the creation of an AML menu for all functions,
like import, export, append, QC norms for checking
duplicates, build, connection and extraction from
MS Access and dropping & adding attributes
and relevant data extraction and projection system,
etc. |
