Municipalities are been efficiently
managed with GIS mainly due to its wide applicability
of managing multiple data sources for transportation,
water, sewage, electrical, natural gas, telephone,
and cable networks. Such information systems require
not only require the availability of multilevel organized
spatial and non-spatial information, but needs to
be updated regularly so as to contribute to local,
national and global needs of sustained economic growth,
environmental quality and social progress.
RAMTeCH realizes the many benefits of such information
systems where it is possible for one computer terminal
to provide infrastructure data from many sources.
Relevant information for a particular block or city
area can be called up on a computer screen and compared
with data from other areas. We realize the importance
of using visual indications by calling up maps with
relevant information shown graphically through the
use of different colors, thicknesses or types of hatching.
The combination of different data sources provide
a wide variety of information with respect to urban
infrastructure: water-distribution networks, wastewater-collection
systems and treatment plants, highways, bridges and
traffic control, street lighting, and airports. Some
